I enjoy meeting people from different places and hearing how they see the world. Chinese cars, AI and daily life are favourite topics, but I’m just as interested in what brought you to Beijing.

Are the meetups free?

No. These are paid, individually arranged meetups. Ask by email or WhatsApp for a quote. Any tickets, food, drinks or transport are separate unless explicitly included in the written quote. Sending an enquiry does not book or charge you.

When can we meet?

Selected weekdays, evenings and weekends, subject to availability. Please enquire before making plans around a meetup; there is no instant booking.

Which New Century Hotel do you mean?

Beijing New Century Hotel (北京新世纪饭店), also known as Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing. Send the hotel name or a map pin so we can confirm the starting area. This is an independent personal website, not a hotel or Beijing Zoo service.

I have exactly two hours. Is that enough?

Tell me your latest return time. A nearby coffee or short walk is usually easier to fit than a zoo visit or a run across town. Travel, entry queues and rest stops all need time; we’ll agree what is realistic for your day.

What if the weather changes or I need to cancel?

We’ll agree cancellation and refund terms before you pay. If conditions affect an outdoor plan, we’ll discuss a shorter route, an indoor alternative, rescheduling or cancellation before meeting.

Can I come with children?

Please mention their ages when enquiring so we can discuss a suitable plan. Children must stay with their parent or guardian; childcare is not provided.

What if WhatsApp doesn’t work for me?
